What is an Instructional Resource Package?

An Instructor's Resource Package (IRP) is your key to providing a creative and effective learning experience. It is the most economical way to purchase all the resources for each course and is available in either a CD-ROM format or spiral bound paper version. A professionally produced video is also available for select courses (also known as a DVD-IRP). See below for more details.

  • A beautifully designed PowerPoint slideshow containing all of the graphics from the transparency masters.
  • Audio recordings of the course being taught by the author of the book to an actual audience. These recordings are stored as MP3 files and can be played through the media player on your computer, or burned to a CD for listening in your car or on your home/classroom stereo.
  • An Audio Listening Guide to help you get the most out of the audio teachings.

Video Instructional Resource Package

The DVD Instructional Resource Package (DIRP) contains the same lesson plan materials and packaging as the standard IRP. ETA videos were designed to be used as a teaching aid. There are typically 12 segments in a DVD video to compliment the 12 chapters of the book. A wide variety of presentations are used such as dramas, music videos, interviews with experts, highlights from taped class sessions, and more. Also included in the DIRP is a viewing guide document with worksheets to help you or your students get the most out of the video. Currently, only select courses are available with a DVD component.
